Apoyos de UMALCA para participantes en Sesiones Especiales y para jóvenes matemáticos y/o estudiantes de posgrado latinoamericanos para asistir al Congreso Matemático de las Américas 2013

La Unión Matemática de América Latina y el Caribe, llama a aspirantes para la financiación de apoyos complementarios para estadías y traslados dentro de la región para participar en el Congreso Matemático de las Américas, Guanajuato, México, 5 – 9 de agosto de 2013.

Los apoyos serán de dos tipos:

  1. Apoyos a investigadores latinoamericanos para que participen como expositores de las sesiones especiales programadas en el Congreso;
  2. Becas a jóvenes matemáticos y/o estudiantes de posgrado latinoamericanos para que asistan al Congreso.


Las aspiraciones y consultas ante dudas deben ser mandadas a la siguiente dirección de correo electrónico de la Secretaria de UMALCA: umalca@fermat.usach.cl

Las solicitudes serán recibidas en la dirección electrónica de la Secretaría de UMALCA hasta el 11 de marzo.

CALL FOR POSTER SESSIONS PROPOSALS

Proposals to present a contribution at the poster sessions to be held during the Congress are welcomed by the organizers. Young researchers are strongly encouraged to take this opportunity to present their work in an international Conference and to be exposed to the most recent developments in active areas in Mathematics.

All participants who wish to present a poster must submit an abstract not later than the 1st of April, 2013, to postersmca@cimat.mx. Acceptance will be notified on April 21 at the most. Nevertheless, those needing an early resolution about the acceptance of their proposal should send the abstract before February 28, in this case the date of notification will be March 31.
Please read the guidelines guidelines before sending the proposals.

Poster Sessions will take place on Tuesday and Thursday morning. In order to draw as much attention as possible, posters will be set up one day prior to each session.

- Posters will be set up on a first-come first-serve basis.
- There will be no possibility to print out the posters at the conference site.
- Posters shall not exceed 35w x 47h inches (90x120 cm), as 47w x 82h (210 x 120 cm) display boards will be provided.
-First session posters will be displayed until the set up of the second session on tuesday.

Acceptance does not exclude Poster Sessions participants from registration and fee payment.
